The fourth and final act of the Dragon class Winter Championship just ended last weekend for the sixteen boats from all over Europe, with ideal racing weather conditions.
On the first day, a Levante of 18 knots allowed three races to be held, considering that the forecast for the following days was not the best. On Saturday, the easterly wind of 16 knots allowed two more races to be completed, ending the program a day early.
The battle for the top was intense, with the Dragon TUR 12 PROVEZZA, helmed by champion Andy Beadsworth, and ITA 79 TRANSBUNKER, captained by Ukrainian Yevgen Braslavets, representing our yacht club. A collision between the two during the last race and the consequent retirement made the Turks win by just one point. In third place was the Swedish SWE 404 HIGT TIME of Karl Gustav Lohr.
The overall podium of the Dragon Winter Series 2024-’25 is all Italian, with the triumph of the boats and athletes of our yacht club: ITA 79 TRANSBUNKER by Yevgen Braslavets, followed by ITA 77 DRAGONFLY by Beppe Zaoli and ITA 50 DRAGONDINE by Marco Gerbaudo.

Congratulations to all the crews and looking forward to the International Italian Dragon Cup 2025, in Sanremo, March 20th-23rd.
