Alessandro Tosetti, Turin architect and passionate sailor, has always loved offshore sailing which combines
youth training projects and the dissemination of artistic messages of environmental sustainability and social
beauty, aboard Aspra, the ULDB 65′ which he built in 2002 on the molds of the Vallicelli studio.

Me and Aspra around the world is a 5-year project, made up of preparations, work and training, such as the
solo circumnavigation of Corsica, from Imperia to Imperia, in 78 hours, the 2000 mile solo qualification test
from Imperia to Cascais, in winter, in 11 days, with an unprecedented artistic performance drawing on the
sea with the satellite route tracker.

In 2023 he participated in the Global Solo Challenge, the new solo race around the world, open to all types
of boats.
A journey of over 27,000 miles that Aspra suspended in the Pacific Ocean causes a forced stop in Chatham
Islands, New Zealand, due to the breaking of the shrouds, worn out after the passage of Capes Good Hope
and Leeuwin in the Southern Ocean.

It is from Auckland, where Aspra is still moored for repairs, that Alessandro will continue the
circumnavigation in 2025, completing the route with the passage of the third cape, that of Horn.
