Three days of racing for the very young Optimist class in Sanremo for the traditional Mediterranean Meeting, an event that saw young sailors compete in three days of intense racing.
On Friday the wind gave ideal conditions, allowing the completion of three races for the Juniors, while the Cadets were forced to return home after having competed in only two races. On Saturday, however, the wind was delayed, but in the end it rose, allowing a regatta of great quality to take place.
In the Junior A category, the absolute dominator was Paul Masson, a sailor from Nice who won three first places and his worst result was a fourth. In second place was his teammate Luis Gerriet, who contributed to the success of the Yacht Club de Nice, which also won the prestigious Dino Minaglia Trophy, the team winner.

The event, supported by the City of Sanremo, was a great success, filling the port and the city every year with these very young athletes, a symbol of a passion for sailing that continues to grow. And of which we are proud!
