The 2024 edition of Autumn in Regatta concluded with another extraordinary weekend of regattas: the competitions, which took place between Saturday and Sunday in the waters of the Gulf of Sanremo, saw the best sailors compete in ideal weather conditions, with light winds and pleasant temperatures.
Saturday was marked by the Statari Trophy, which saw the triumph of Alberto Franchella’s Farewell Ange . The awards ceremony, which took place in Ventimiglia, was accompanied by dances and choirs, celebrating the success of the boat.
The Autumn in Regatta saw the absolute domination of Antonino Venneri’s Suspiria the Revenge , which took first place in the overall ranking, as well as winning in the ORC1 and IRC categories. In the ORC2 class, the podium was occupied by Federico Stoppani’s Pingone di Mare IIII , while in the ORC3 class, with a shorter course, Beatrice di Francese prevailed. In the Crociera Regata category, first place was taken by Franco Ardissone’s Spantegata .
This conclusion marked another success for the “offshore boats” at the Yacht Club Sanremo, but the activity of the historic headquarters in Matuziana does not stop there. From next Friday, the young sailors are preparing to face the fortieth edition of the Mediterranean Meeting, an event that confirms the club’s commitment to supporting youth sailing. Furthermore, in mid-December, the Winter Series of the Dragon class will be held, another unmissable event for sailing enthusiasts.
