The Wooden Dragon World Cup 2025 is Scottish!

A summer weather with light wind for the second edition of the Wooden Dragon World Cup in Sanremo, September 17-th-20th, reunited crews from Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Great Britain, Spain and Italy: the first place goes to the Scottish GBR402 Meteor helmed by Pete Cooke from the Royal Forth, followed by the Italian team ITA12 Galatea II of Giuseppe La Scala, RYCC Savoia, and in third place the English GBR633 Fei-Lin’s-Flirtation from YC Cannes, helmed by Ronald James, who was the director of PPL Therapeutics, the company that carried out the cloning of the famous Dolly the sheep.
Thanks to the Race Committee’s work and to all the crews from Canada to Europe to local ones such as the historic 75yo Tergeste by our President Beppe Zaoli, Venilia with Mario and Andrea Quaranta from Imperia on board, Javelin by Fabio Mangione, YC Italiano, and Japetus by Guido Garrone, CNAM Alassio.
