Vincenzo Alessi was a pillar of the Yacht Club Sanremo for seventy years. He was an instructor, sailor, and race officer.
Since the 1960s, he has nurtured generations of young athletes and enthusiasts with a love of the sea. Meanwhile, he raced on the most important boats of the time, such as those of Gerin, Solerio, and so on.
A constant presence at the club, until recently, when his years had become too much for him to take it anymore. His “tirila” inspired hundreds, probably thousands, of kids to dream and learn the art of seamanship, with his gruff tone hiding a big heart.
Enzo, a man who dedicated his life to the sea, with great passion and expertise. Today, he leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all those who, now grown up, grew up with him.
The Yacht Club Sanremo will be eternally grateful to this man who contributed to its history.
