Great success of participation in the International Meeting of the Mediterranean class Optimist now in its thirty-eighth edition: almost 170 very young sailors, divided into the two categories Cadets (born from 2012 to 2013) and Juniores (born from 2007 to 2011), will crowd the Porto Vecchio area of Sanremo, moved by a great passion for the sea and for a healthy and ecological sport such as sailing.

The Sanremo Yacht Club, in its unstoppable activity, is always close to the young and very young who represent the future of this sport and the purpose of the Club: in addition to the Meeting, hundreds of young people in the 420 class will be involved with the Carnival Race in February, subsequently after two weeks with the Kinder Trophy there will be more than four hundred athletes, again in the Optimist class.

The regattas with young athletes continue with the Ligurian Championship in September and the Italian Women’s Championship signed class 420. The youth activity alternates with the normal regattas of the Sanremo Yacht Club, always keeping alive the spirit of the partnership with the President Beppe Zaoli who, with his guidance, has led this Club to be one of the most active players in the Mediterranean and beyond.
