Once the fourteenth edition of the “Trophee Grimaldi” ended, what is now a classic of the coastal autumn, this year with a record number of participants, 51 boats of varying sizes between 8 and 23 meters showed up on the starting line. The numerous classes, who for three days competed along the Sanremo – Ventimiglia – Montecarlo route, regardless of the rain which has not been lacking in recent days. The weather forecasts announced by the various bulletins fortunately did not come true. On Friday the departure from the Sanremo Yacht Club took place with a nice east that accompanied the boats up to the finishing line of Bordighera and then turned from west to north and brought the boats to the finish line in front of the port of Ventimiglia. In Cala del Forte the Yacht Club welcomed the participants with a hot pasta and cold beer appreciated by all. On Saturday the weather conditions did not leave much room, only the decision to cancel the day’s race, but in the evening all the crews reached, by land, the Yacht Club Monaco for the party, libations and dancing enlivened the whole evening which was appreciated as always by the racers. Then on Sunday we depart from Ventimiglia again towards Sanremo. A north wind accompanied the boats up to Bordighera and then turned upwind to Sanremo.

The Grimaldi Trophy will return next year to seal the union between the various clubs, the Cala del Forte Yacht Club, the Monaco Yacht Club and the Sanremo Yacht Club.
