SARCHIAPONE FUORISERIE, Italia Yachts 9.98 owned by our member Gianluigi Dubbini, achieved a prestigious second place overall in the ORC C class at the 2026 EDISON NEXT ITALIAN OFFSHORE SAILING CHAMPIONSHIP just concluded in Gaeta, with ideal weather conditions and 8 spectacular and hard-fought races.
“The competition was particularly challenging, with fierce opponents and new, high-performance boats on the starting line, so we’re very pleased with the result achieved and the performance demonstrated by the boat and the entire crew,” Dubbini commented. “The standings remained uncertain until the final day: before the final race, Sarchiapone was in third place, just one point behind second and a single point ahead of fourth-place finishers. The final race proved decisive, culminating in a splendid race victory, allowing the crew to secure second place in the nick of time. We congratulate all the winners and participants, who played a key role in a championship of great sporting value.”
