The wind for the opening day was extremely “rafficoso” with huge changes in direction and large changes in pressure, a minute stretched sheets and good speed, the next you were seated almost becalmed the fleet flowing around you .. . ..
However, even though 6 of the 33 boats entered did not take the start today, it was an exciting race to start the season. The winner Yevgeni told me “I am by racing with a wooden dragon built by Borresen in 1969, which has been restored with loving care. We were fast when the wind was strong, but a little ‘slower during breaks, most of the race we were in fourth place, but then I kept the left side in the final and I took the lead. Tonight we will play our chips in the Casino! Yevgeni were aboard Timokhov Sergiy and Oleksandr Myrchuk.
2nd place today was won by Marcus Bennecke, BCON Theis Palm and Jochen Schumann on board. 3rd was Marcus Wieser, Sergey Pugachev and Diego Negri.
Tomorrow we hope to complete 2 or 3 tests with the wind down, then the gala will see the extraction with a lucky dragonista due out driving a nice Fiat 500 …. that yes it is a prize !
