The 41st West Liguria Winter Championship, a true tradition of Western Liguria, which began in October with the Trophée Grimaldi, ended on the weekend of March 1st and 2nd, with almost sixty boats participating.
The last stage of the Championship, the Sailing Festival, was truly exciting, with strong north-east winds, lots of sun and spring temperatures.
The Overall Trophy was awarded to Suspiria the Revenge by Antonino Venneri, YC Punta Sardegna, who also won first place in the ORC1. In the ORC2 class, our member Federico Stoppani’s Pingone di Mare IIII won first place, while in the ORC1 class, Andrea Statari’s Gorilla Gang XL, YC Monaco, reached the podium. In the Cruise Regatta category, Melissa II by Dario Gioffredo, YC Sanremo, won, and in the ORC3 class, Obiwan by Elisa Minio of the Circolo Velico Capo Verde.
The Championship will return next October, with the eagerly awaited Trophée Grimaldi, kicking off a new edition full of challenges and adrenaline.
