Five great regattas for the opening of the Dragon Winter Series 2025-26

The 2025-26 Dragon Winter Series got off to a flying start in our Gulf, with five regattas held last weekend, characterized by ideal weather conditions and a high technical level. Crews from Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and Italy competed on the race course, once again confirming the international vocation of the class and our club.

The first leg was dominated by ITA79 Transbunker , with Evgeny Braslavez at the helm , who took the top step of the podium ahead of the Swede Carl Gustav Lohr , helmsman of SWE404 High Times . Third place went to Beppe Zaoli , president of the Yacht Club Sanremo, aboard ITA7 Tergeste , a splendid vintage wooden vessel.

The Dragon Winter Series will continue in mid-December with the second leg, followed by subsequent legs in 2026 and, in April, the Dragon Cup Italian Grand Prix.
