New twinning agreements: Compagnia della Vela, Venice, and Long Beach Yacht Club, California

We are pleased to announce two new and prestigious twinning agreements: with the Compagnia della Vela di Venezia and the Long Beach Yacht Club in California.
These agreements add to the twinning agreement already established in 2024 with the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron of Auckland, a historic America’s Cup partner, confirming our club’s increasingly international vocation.

The Compagnia della Vela , founded in 1911 in Venice, represents one of the most prestigious entities in the Italian sailing tradition: in 1992, with the Moro di Venezia vessel, the Compagnia won the Louis Vuitton Cup, the first time an Italian sports club had taken its boat to the America’s Cup final.

The Long Beach Yacht Club , founded in 1929 in California, is a point of reference for American sailing and known internationally for organizing the famous Congressional Cup , an annual competition aboard Catalina 37s which is part of the World Match Racing Tour.

These new collaborations aim to strengthen ties between top sailing clubs around the world, always with the aim of promoting sporting, cultural, and educational exchange.
