To celebrate the 75th Sanremo Festival, we organized the first edition of the Festival degli Optimist, dedicated to the young athletes of Western Liguria, with a sailing parade and regatta in the waters of Porto Vecchio.
In the name of sport and music, the awards ceremony took place with a special guest, the Genoese rapper Tedua, shortly before his performance on the Festival’s outdoor stage, in Piazza Colombo, for the event’s final evening.
“It’s a pleasure to see young people who believe in their passions – commented Tedua – it is from defeats above all that we learn, we must never give up, and sport gives meaning to life.”*
“The regatta and the meeting with the artist were certainly a memorable moment for the young Optimists – comments our president Beppe Zaoli – investing in the kids is at the heart of our club’s activities and I strongly believe that we will have more and more young enthusiasts who will approach this world in the coming years.”
We thank Tedua, Rai, and the participating athletes of the competitive teams of the clubs San Bartolomeo al Mare, Porto Maurizio Yacht Club, Circolo Velico Ventimigliese and our club, and our staff.
