Event description

The 2025 Italian RS21 Open Champion title assigned in Sanremo

The final act of the 2025 RS21 Cup Yamamay, also counting as the Italian Open Class Championship, just concluded here in Sanremo with great success. Italian and international crews competed in spectacular conditions, greatly satisfying the technical and sporting level of the event, held in collaboration with the Class, once again confirming the organizational skills and hospitality of our club.Β Despite the light wind, which made the races even more technical and competitive, the six races held offered a great spectacle in the waters of the Riviera dei Fiori.

Andrea Rossi , owner and helmsman of Mela , Club Nautico Marina di Carrara – with Enrico Zennaro as tactician, Simon Sivitz Kosuta and Stefano Orlandi – won the title of 2025 Italian RS21 Open Champion thanks to two partial victories and a consistency of results that allowed him to get the better of the German crew of Melanie HΓΆveler’s RS Enterprise , who finished second with equal points. “A satisfaction that I share with my entire team, with whom I have had a relationship that has lasted for years and which has led me to two European titles, a world championship, and an Italian title in the Swan 42 class” – commented Andrea Rossi – “We have been racing RS21s for two seasons and this is the first real success, even if there has been no shortage of good performances.”

In the Corinthian group , the title went to Filippo Pacinotti with Brontolo , Four Sailing Ancona, while in the Under 23 category the winner was Nordes by Alessandro Bossi , LNI Mandello del Lario.

Congratulations also to our members and participating athletes: Vittorio Zaoli on Edoardo Lupi’s Torpyone, third in Act 5, and our young Under 23 team, ITA 261, led by Tommaso Cilli, with Gabriele De Noe, Federico Bortesi, Viola Sofia Gentili, and Valerio Mugnano, third in the national category rankings.
