2 March 2024THE INTERNATIONAL ITALIAN DRAGON CUP – PAUL&SHARK TROPHY HAS ENDED WITH THE VICTORY OF TRANSBUNKER
25 March 2024Sanremo 21/24 March 2024
From tomorrow 21 March, like every year, the best specialists of the Dragone Class will meet: 35 crews from 11 nations will crowd the docks of the Club chaired by Beppe Zaoli to challenge each other to win one of the most coveted trophies of this Class.
Numerous favorites including the Swiss Wolf Waschkuhn with a Portuguese crew, the Maltese Loginov who races for the United Arab Emirates, the Ukrainian Braslavets, former Olympic gold medalist, who races for the colors of the Sanremo Yacht Club.
The boats will be hosted on land in the Portosole square and at sea on the Club’s docks. The city of Sanremo is a destination much appreciated by dragon athletes from all over the world: in fact, the well-known 90th Dragon Anniversary of 2019 deserves mention, which the Club will undertake to repeat in 2029, with only two countries remaining in the competition after two years of selection: Mastrand, in Sweden, and Sanremo.
This regatta represents a great event full of moments of great conviviality including the cocktail offered by the Royal Hotel or the after-race Portosole Cup scheduled on Saturday.
Another great success for the club was achieved last week by a group of very young people, in their first or almost first experience on a bulb boat, who achieved a beautiful 5th place out of 20 at the Women’s Cup in Monte Carlo.
