This year, the Trofeo Gianni Cozzi, now in its twentieth year, has once again proven to be an event capable of bringing together crews, owners, and enthusiasts from Western Liguria.
The program, as planned, included a dinner for the crews at the Hotel Riviera dei Fiori in San Lorenzo al Mare and the awards ceremony at the Aregai Marina Hotel & Residence (along with the Castellaro Golf tournament held in parallel). The ceremony was attended by Luca Lombardi, Councilor for Tourism for the Liguria Region, Beatrice Cozzi Parodi, Group President, and our President, Beppe Zaoli, who highlighted the connection between the world of sailing and the new generations.
“A young person who begins sailing not only learns about the sea and its rules, but as they grow they can find real opportunities, not just for fun but also for careers – Zaoli commented – we must commit, with organizations and associations, to investing increasingly in the future of our young people. And I thank the shipowners who increasingly choose to bring young people on board: this too is a truly important step .”
