Despite the difficult weather conditions it was a beautiful Trophee Grimaldi that took place on the weekend of 2 and 3 November, an event that unites the Circolo Sanremese and the Monaco Yacht Club.

On Saturday they expected difficult conditions, instead a nice east wind accompanied the competitors up to Monte Carlo where the M32 Catamaran of Guido Miani of the Monaco Yacht Club crossed the finish line in 10 minutes and 29 seconds, establishing the Race Record .

The fight for the overall standings was straightforward, with the affirmation of Aurora, Paolo Bonomo and Roberto Bruno, second place for Il Pingone di mare III, Federico Stoppani, and third place for Free Spirit, by Paolo Rossi. All three of the Sanremo Yacht Club
In the ORC Class, A triumph was Aurora, chased by Free Spirit and Twin Soul B, by Luciano Gandini of the YCCM.
In the ORC class B first place for the Pingone di Mare III, according to Sarchiapone Fuoriserie by Gianluigi Dubbini, CV Toscolano Maderno, and third Forrest Gump II, by Stefano Vallone, of the YC Sanremo.
In the IRC Class, the truly unexpected winner was Tuiga, the splendid boat of Prince Albert of Monaco built in 1908. Second place for Il Pingone di Mare III and third place for Free Spirit.
In the Racing Club Class success by Meltemi by Giulio Guarini, ahead of Liberamente by Mario Beraldi and Goghi GO, by Gianfranco Frattegiani.
In the Free class of Miss K, Marco Babando, YC Sanremo, second place for Bonnie, Francesca Ferrando, YC sanremo, and third place for Bon Gars, by Jaqueline Peregrini, YC Monaco.
Gala and socializing moments were not lacking, culminating in the evening of Saturday evening with dinner at the Monaco Yacht Club, accompanied by live music. Sunday afternoon, at the headquarters of the Sanremo Yacht Club, awarding of the Trophee Grimaldi with rich bouffet.
