International Regattas I.O.R & R.O.R.C. Meeting and SAILING&COOKING: success of participants!

The three days of regattas at sea and events on land ended, with the enthusiastic participation of over 200 athletes and thousands of enthusiasts at the Sailing Village, among the local agri-food stands and exhibitors from the nautical sector.
Optimal conditions on the regatta field, where over twenty vintage and non-vintage boats from various countries competed – the Antiguan Mariella, the Monegasque Tuiga, the French Mariska to name some of the most impressive.
On the IOR podium, il Moro di Venezia, YC Sanremo, followed by Resolute Salmon, C.V. Cape Verde and Meeting, YC Monaco. For the Veteran category, Tuiga, YC Monaco, Mariska, YC Monaco and Mariella, Antigua YC. In Epoca Vintage 2, Gaudeamus, YC Sanremo and Greylag, YC Imperia. Finally, in the Open, Bonnie, YC Sanremo, Cristiana, Club Nautico Loano, and Corto Maltese, YC Monaco.
On Saturday evening, during the gala dinner for the crews, organized by our restaurant, the awards ceremony took place for the Vela & Sapori regatta in which each crew prepared traditional dishes during navigation, and which saw Il Moro di triumph Venezia for the three categories, who competed for victory with Nita and Mariska for the Cuisine and Combined categories and with Emilia Prima and Mariska for the Regatta category.

In the Sailing Village, organized with the collaboration of the various associations in the area, the show cooking offered by the four chefs from Western Liguria are not to be missed: Riccardo Marcenaro of the Marixx Restaurant in Cala del Forte Ventimiglia, Nicola Alberti of I Birichini and Umberto Brancaccio of l’ Osteria Del Marinaio both from Sanremo, Riccardo Farnese from Da u Titti – Riccardo&Chiara from Lingueglietta.

It was created thanks to the collaboration of our partners – Chamber of Commerce Riviere di Liguria, Nautical event section of Confindustria Imperia “Yacht Net”, Confcommercio Sanremo and FIPE province of Imperia, Confartigianato Imperia and Lega Coop Liguria – and organized with the Italian Sailing Association d’Epoca, AIVE, and Municipality of Sanremo.

The appointment is certainly for the 2025 edition.
