THE INTERNATIONAL ITALIAN DRAGON CUP – PAUL&SHARK TROPHY HAS ENDED WITH THE VICTORY OF TRANSBUNKER

Traditionally organized by the Yacht Club Sanremo, with the patronage of the Municipality of Sanremo, the nineteenth edition of the international Italian Dragon Cup Paul&Shark Trophy took place with 33 crews from all over Europe and characterized by beautiful weather conditions and variable wind from east, from west and intensity between 6 and 12 knots which in the four days of regatta allowed 7 regattas to take place, at the end of which the flag bearers of the Sanremo Yacht Club DI ITA 79 led by Yevgeni Braslavets won by just three points.
During the four days of the regatta, the first in the ranking alternated with each other but at the end of the regatta, by just 3 points, second place was won by UAE17, with the former world champion Anatoly Loginov as helmsman.
Third place on the podium goes to the Germans of GER 62 with Stephan Link at the helm. There was no shortage of social events: every afternoon and evening the racers were welcomed by parties after the regatta, including the very nice one organized by the Cape Verde Sailing Club.
First in the Corinthian, i.e. non-professional, ranking are the Swedes of SWE 404, helmed by Karl Gustaf Lohr. The first classic boat is ITA 49 JAVELIN, by Fabio Mangione. Japetus, by Guido Garrone, deserves to be mentioned, a totally original boat with the equipment of the time which defended itself well in all tests.
