THE THIRTY-NINTH EDITION OF THE MEETING INTERNAZIONALE DEL MEDITERRANEO HAS COMPLETED.

The 39th International Mediterranean Meeting, organized by the Sanremo Yacht Club, has ended, with almost one hundred boats, with small athletes between 9 and 14 years old who animated the port of Sanremo, coming from four different nations.

Four races were held by the older ones, with a difference applied, and three races for the younger ones, all held on Saturday 9 December: the adverse conditions on Friday and the lack of wind on Sunday did not allow the regattas to take place.

Perfect conditions on Saturday with a west wind that blew from 6 to 15 knots allowing all the day’s races to take place. In the Junior general classification, the French Jett Marshall and Luca Deprez, of the Club Nautique de Nice, dominate, with the first two places, followed by the two athletes of the Yacht Club Sanremo, Elia Federico and Ian Scialli, who won third and fourth place respectively.

In the Cadets, first place for the Frenchman Timeo Cuinet, second place for Lorenzo dall’Ava, of the Club Del Mare Diano Marina, and third place for Simon Enjalbert.

This year it was the Club Nautique de Nice that won the Dino Minaglia Trophy, named in memory of a great member of the Sanremo Yacht Club who always worked for youth activities, which rewards the best Club which, among the Juniors, obtained the three top finishes with Jett Marshall, Lucas Deprez and Molly Ella Marshall.

This event represents the penultimate event for the Sanremo Yacht Club before the end of the year: from 15 to 17 December the Dragon Winter Series trials will take place which will conclude the Club’s rich season.
